Unique Propolis Water-soluble Extraction Technology
Technology for people and nature is the value of Unique Biotech.
It refers to an extraction technique of water-insoluble propolis using alcohol. It is a traditional method that has been used in private homes.
Propolis extracted using this method contains 50 to 70% alcohol and mixing it with water renders the solution turbid with wax and resin residue forming on the surface, making it difficult to intake. Its unpleasant odor and taste do not help either, especially for children, the elderly and women.
It is also inconvenient to wash with alcohol or detergent as a resin formed on the surface of a cup as it is difficult to clean with water.
It refers to an extraction technique that uses an emulsifying agent or chemosynthetic additive to reduce alcohol content in the propolis. Although the propolis contains less alcohol, it does hold high emulsifying agent or chemosynthetic additive content.
The most commonly used emulsifying agent in Korea are propylene glycol fatty acid ester, polyglycerine fatty acid ester, and polysorbate, which can be readily checked on the label.
It refers to an extraction technique that use no emulsifying agent or chemosynthetic additive. Propolis extracted using this technique is transparent and yellowish brown in color and soft in odor and taste for everyone to enjoy.
